Terms of ServicePrivacy PolicyCookie PolicyAcceptable UseData ProcessingSubprocessorsDisclaimer
These terms govern the Limen Systems website and evaluation materials. For a paid engagement, the separately executed agreement controls. This is not legal advice.

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do when using the Limen Systems website and evaluation materials. It exists to keep the Services safe, lawful, and available to everyone who uses them. It forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service, and it applies in addition to any acceptable-use terms in a Definitive Agreement governing a paid engagement.

1. Scope and purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) applies to all users of the Limen Systems website at limen.io and any evaluation materials, demonstration environments, and briefings we make available through it (the “Services”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.
The purpose of this Policy is simple: use the Services lawfully, honestly, and without harming the Services, other users, or third parties. A breach of this Policy is a breach of the Terms of Service.

2. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose. Prohibited uses include, without limitation:
  • violating any applicable law, regulation, or the rights of any third party, including intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights;
  • misrepresenting your identity or affiliation, impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or implying a relationship with Limen;
  • using the Services to develop, train, or benchmark a competing product or service, or to misappropriate Limen’s methods, architecture, or confidential information;
  • collecting or harvesting information about other users, or using the Services to send unsolicited or deceptive communications;
  • uploading, submitting, or transmitting any content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or that you are not authorized to share, including confidential third-party data or the personal data of others; and
  • using the Services in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair them, or that could expose Limen or others to legal liability.

3. Prohibited technical conduct

You must not attempt to compromise the security, integrity, or availability of the Services, or to access parts of the Services you are not authorized to access. Prohibited technical conduct includes, without limitation:
  • attempting to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, network, or data, or bypassing any authentication, access-control, or rate-limiting measure;
  • probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any system or network without our prior written authorization, except as expressly permitted in Section 5;
  • introducing or transmitting malware, ransomware, or any other malicious or destructive code;
  • scraping, crawling, harvesting, or extracting content or data at scale, or using automated means to access the Services in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load or circumvents technical limits;
  • reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Services, except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction; and
  • interfering with, disrupting, or launching a denial-of-service attack against the Services or their supporting infrastructure.

4. Content and data restrictions

When you submit information through the Services — for example, in a briefing request form or evaluation questionnaire — you must provide accurate information and must not include sensitive, regulated, or confidential third-party data.
Do not submit personal data of others without a lawful basis, special categories of personal data, protected health information, payment-card data, government-issued identifiers, or any data whose disclosure would breach a confidentiality or regulatory obligation. Our product deployments are designed so that operational data stays inside your own perimeter; the informational Services are not the appropriate channel for sensitive data. See our security posture and Privacy Policy for more.

5. Security research and responsible disclosure

We welcome good-faith security research and are committed to working with the security community. If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability in the Services, please report it privately and promptly to hello@limensystems.com before disclosing it to anyone else.
Good-faith research is authorized within limits. When you act in good faith and follow this Policy, we authorize the testing necessary to find and demonstrate a vulnerability, and we will not pursue or support legal action against you for that research. Good-faith research means you:
  • report the issue to us promptly and give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and remediate before any public or third-party disclosure;
  • make a good-faith effort to avoid privacy violations, data destruction, service degradation, and interruption of others’ use of the Services;
  • access, modify, and store only the minimum data necessary to demonstrate the vulnerability, and do not exfiltrate, retain, or share any data you encounter;
  • do not use social engineering, physical attacks, spam, or denial-of-service techniques, and do not test the accounts, data, or systems of others without permission; and
  • comply with all applicable laws.
Please include enough detail to reproduce the issue — affected URL or component, a description of the vulnerability, and step-by-step reproduction notes. We will acknowledge your report, keep you reasonably informed of progress, and credit you if you wish once the issue is resolved. This Policy does not authorize testing of third-party services (including our subprocessors); see our Subprocessors page.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations of this Policy and take any action we consider appropriate. This includes removing or disabling access to content, suspending or terminating your access to the Services, revoking credentials, and preserving and disclosing information where we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with law, enforce this Policy, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Limen, our users, or the public.
We may report suspected unlawful activity to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities and cooperate with any resulting investigation. Our enforcement rights are in addition to, and do not limit, any other remedy available to us under the Terms of Service or at law or in equity. We are not obligated to monitor use of the Services, but we may do so.

7. Reporting and contact

To report abuse or a suspected violation of this Policy, or to report a security vulnerability, contact us at hello@limensystems.com. For general legal questions about this Policy, contact hello@limensystems.com.
We may update this Policy from time to time; changes are effective when posted, as reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
